The Artist

Residing in Melbourne’s Western suburbs, Michelle has loved drawing for as long as she can remember. Michelle completed a Bachelor of Teaching and a Graduate Diploma of Special Education, moving from Bendigo to work as a teacher in a specialist autistic school. After having a break due to family, Michelle made a career change and retrained, now working as a Patient Transport Officer.

Although not been formally trained as an artist and solely self-taught, Michelle is continuously learning and evolving with her skills and technique using graphite, coloured pencils, and more recently, watercolour pencils and ink.

I wish to acknowledge the Wathaurong people’s of the Kulin Nation as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which I work and live, and recognise their continuing connection to land, water and community. I pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
